Welcome From the Head

At California International School there are many essential  ingredients that contribute to the creation of an optimal learning  environment for all students. Our commitment to small class sizes, high standards, and personalized learning, gives students an  opportunity to dive deeply into the curriculum and explore their  creative passions. We believe that our encouragement and  commitment to growth is the most important essential ingredient to  establishing an open and creative environment.

In classrooms intentionally designed to encourage collaboration and connection, with both the teacher and peers, students work on projects that require deep thinking and creative problem solving throughout their school day. As students are given the opportunity to grapple with essential questions and design projects with meaning connected to the real-world, they will grow and develop their  cognitive abilities, while working with others to develop their interpersonal and social skills. 

With a focus on learning to be global communicators and critical thinkers, students will be well-equipped to understand different cultures and perspectives, as well as integrate new ideas.  You have our promise that we will strive everyday as a team of educators at CIS to ensure children grow to know the importance of their contribution to their school, their local community, and the world at-large.
